Week 3... I Don't Have Enough Time!

The title of this weeks lesson was I don't have enough time.. Seriously, how many times have you said that phrase? I know I probably say it everyday.. Well, this week our memory verse was John 14:1 Your heart must not be troubled.Believe in God; believe also in ME.. This week I really encouraged all the ladies and myself to make daily list of everything you have to do and then pray over every single thing..Not only will your day go smoothly when you lift these items to the Lord but to pray over your to do list is a way of offering your entire day -even the little things to him. Day 1 God Is In Control ~ Focus on God instead of your circumstances. We read the story of Jochebed(Moses Mom) and how she trusted the Lord to take care of him and he did in so many ways..Meeting Life's challenges In the story we read we found out that Jocebed relied on God. Secondly, she was persistent and her firm faith gave her the strength she needed to do what GOD called her to do.Remember it takes tremendous faith, discipline and persistence to manage your time Gods way.We need to really seek his counsel about what we do with the time he has given us. Just as he did for Jochebed,he will reward you with his strength, his joy and his provision. Day 2 - the title of the day was called MORE.... I have to laugh because not only do we always say we don't have enough time but we always ask for MORE:)Remember that making time with JESUS a priority will lessen the pressure of time issues..Have you ever heard about Treasures in Heaven? When you spend time with the Lord, in his word and just being with him and loving others like he would and doing acts of kindness for others, when you do those things God will reward you with treasures in heaven.. I love this quote that was written in our book and it says" You will not have more time if you make Jesus a priority in your life, but the time you have will be MORE!God will give us what we need to complete each task, What a divine thing he does for us when we spend time with him.I loved when Martha complained about Mary not helping her around the house and he said Mary has chosen the right choice and it will not be taken away from her.. When we make a daily appointment with the Lord, we will experience tremendous blessings to deal with our daily activities.Satan will use the " I don't have enough time" attack to try and keep us away from our bible study and our prayer time. But, it is our responsibility to make sure nothing stands in the way of our time with Jesus especially when we don't have time!I am sure you are like me and many others, you really long to experience his blessing as a Mom,as wife, at work, in friendships and even cleaning your house.. I encourage you that if you long for his blessing in these areas make a daily list and pray over each one and you will will definitely turn your Martha day into a Mary one:) Day 3~ The Core of the Problem. We focused on what God wants us to do right now! Have you ever had your plate so full and said YES to everything and served in this area and really felt like was God was not blessing you in some of those areas? Well I know personally!! I know many ladies who have filled their lives with too many good things! Many Christian women, swallowed up in an endless array of duties, responsibilities and service miss out on God's best for them. All of this often steals their creativity, their play-time,and their joy, it will leave you physically, emotionally,,mentally and spiritually depleted. In the book of Isaiah God invited all who are thirsty,to all who are not satisfied with life,to all who are too busy to enjoy HIS peace and joy. I assure you if you are anxious, pressured and depleted by the demands placed on your life right now, GOD has something better in mind for you. Too little time is not actually the problem. The core of the problem may be having to much to do!God does not want us to do "EVERY THING" good. He can tell you what you should do if you just ask for his direction and guidance.. Day 4~Blessed By God~ We talked about comparing ourselves to others, I think we are all guilty of that and it starts very young.. We are always thinking someone else is prettier, someone else is always happy, her house is always clean, she dresses to the nines, her hair is so cute, she is so orderly we find ourselves like that all the time and sometimes it is not even a jealousy issue, we just find ourselves wanting to be like that... The great thing is......Did God tell you to compare yourself to other ladies? NO! At times God may give us a example in another person, He may speak to you through the words or the lifestyle of that person, drawing you to His character.. When it becomes jealousy and self pity that is nothing but Satan playing games with you. read Provers 31: 10 ~31 WOW!!! how I long to be like this woman in many ways but I know that God has a specific plan for me at this precise time in my life just like he has for you.. You can definitely become the ideal woman- not because of what you can do but because of who HE is.. if you look back at the scripture the most worthy and admirable description of the ideal woman is that she FEARED GOD! As you worship GOD,read HIS word and seek HIS counsel, GOD will tell you what things should be a part of your life.Day 5~ My Time Belongs To God... Managing your time is a big part of managing yourself. "Managing Self" means to do what I can do with me when I can not do anything about the circumstances surrounding me" Read Psalms 27. Set Me High Upon a Rock at times I cry out to my heavenly father to set me high upon a rock and come get me and set me above my circumstances, bringing me closer to him..When my focus shifts from HIM, my energy is divided and my stress is multiplied. As long as HE is central to my thinking and my commitment, I experience his joy and his peace no matter what else is going on in my life. When you keep your focus on Jesus Christ, HE fills you with a peace and joy that the world cannot give!!Hope to see you all on Thursday night, the study is People are getting on my nerves! ha ha!! now tell me how many times have you said that! I just finding myself cracking up at the title because I am GUILTY!!! I can not wait to see what he teaches me this week! Love you all and praying for each one of you daily!!
